Buying kitchen and bath cabinets online can be a little bit complex for end-users. Unlike buying a T-shirt online, kitchen consists of many parts and missing even one item can delay the cabinet installation. Let’s take a look at this single wall kitchen to understand the basic components that you need to buy or when measuring your kitchen.

A. Ceiling Height – Distance from floor to the ceiling.

B. Wall Length – Length of the entire wall from end-to-end where cabinetry and appliances will be placed.

C. Window Size – Including the window trims. Sink is normally placed under the window, so getting its exact location is very important. To do that you need to do either one of the following:

C.1 – Get the distance of the window from the right wall.
C.2 – Get the distance of the window from the left wall.

D. Appliances Location

D.1 Stove/Range
D.2 Range Hood
D.3 Fridge
D.4 Dishwasher

E. Hood Clearance –  Clearance between the hood and top of the range is 24” to 30”.

F. Base Cabinets – Normally 34.5” high, including the 4.5” toe kick at the base

F.1 B27 – 27” wide Base Cabinet with drawer on top and 2 doors at the bottom, 24” depth
F.2 TB09 – 9” wide Spice Rack Cabinet, 24” depth
F.3 SB36 – 36” wide Sink Base Cabinet with 2 false drawers on top, 24” depth
F.4 B21 – 21” wide Base Cabinet with drawer on top and single door the bottom, 24” depth. This cabinet can also be provisioned for pull-out trash can

G. Upper/ Wall Cabinets

G.1 W2742 – 27” wide x 42” high Wall Cabinet with 2 doors, 12” depth
G.2 W3024 – 30” wide x 24” high Wall Cabinet with 2 doors, 12” depth
G.3 W1542 – 15” wide x 42” high Wall Cabinet with 1 door, 12” depth
G.4 W362424 – 36” wide x 24” high x 24” depth cabinet above the fridge

H. Tall Cabinet – PC3096, 30” wide x 96” high Pantry Unit

I. Accessories

I.1 Base Filler  – To fill in gaps in the base
I.2 Wall Filler – To fill in gaps in the uppers
I.3 Fridge Panel with return filler – To cover the side of the refrigerator
I.4 Tall Filler – Spacers or fillers put next to the pantry
I.5 Toe Kick – 4.5″H x 8′ long accessory used to cover the seams between base cabinets.

Other common accessories not in this drawing which you might need are crown molding, scribe molding, light molding, and roll-out trays.
